Wake up feeling like you're on another planet in one of six ultra-luxury 'Sky Pods' inspired by space exploration. Echo camp sits in quiet Antarctic solitude, encircled by ancient rock formations, offering floor-to-ceiling views of an otherworldly landscape.
White Desert's Echo camp represents the pinnacle of Antarctic luxury travel. The futuristic Sky Pods, designed to look like they've been beamed down from Mars, fuse a retro vision of space exploration with boutique retreat comfort. Each pod features original photographs taken from the International Space Station by retired astronaut Colonel Terry Virts.
The camp's design was inspired by CEO Patrick Woodhead's childhood love of Star Wars - imagining what would happen if the Millennium Falcon met a boutique retreat. Inside, vast floor-to-ceiling windows bring Antarctica's ageless landscape into every space, from the observatory library to the Art Deco lounge.
Activities include fatbiking across 10km of pristine terrain, summiting nunataks, ice climbing, abseiling frozen cliffs, and visiting emperor penguin colonies. The entire camp is designed to be completely dismantled when not in use, leaving no trace on this pristine wilderness.
