Otter's View

Otter's View looks like it was plucked from the pages of a fantasy novel. This whimsical retreat is built into a green hillside on the outskirts of Rhayader, with round windows, curved walls, and the kind of charm that makes you half-expect a wizard to knock on the door.

But the magic here is real. The Elan Valley - Wales' Lake District - unfolds below, with its chain of Victorian dams and reservoirs surrounded by wild moorland. Red kites wheel overhead (the nearby feeding station draws hundreds daily), otters play in the River Wye, and at night, the dark skies reveal a canopy of stars best enjoyed from your private hot tub.

Inside, the cabin is surprisingly spacious and beautifully finished - a king bedroom with patio doors, two further bedrooms, a marble shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen.
