A unique wine hotel in Kakheti featuring rooms shaped like traditional Georgian qvevri wine vessels, surrounded by vineyards and mountain views.
Located in the rolling hills of the Kakheti wine region in village Shalauri, just 10 minutes from Telavi, Hotel Qvevrebi is a celebration of Georgia's ancient winemaking heritage. The hotel features 20 unique cottages shaped like giant qvevri (kvevri), the traditional egg-shaped clay vessels fundamental to Georgian wine production for over 8,000 years. Each cottage is named after native grape varieties such as Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, and Kisi. The property also includes 17 modern rooms in the main building. Guests enjoy picturesque views of wine valleys and the Caucasus mountains with distant glaciers. The on-site Restaurant Amphora serves a fusion of Georgian and European cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. Wine enthusiasts can participate in tastings of indigenous grape varieties and even try traditional grape crushing in a satsnakheli (wooden press) during harvest season. Amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub, and entertainment area with games.
